The Word Blog
The word blog comes from the name Weblog, it is a daily record of events or stories that the user posts frequently for members of the public to use. You can notice a blog by the way it is laid out, numerous posts will be posted on the walls, and it is in chronological order. The type of subject would usually depend on the authors personality, such as if the the author is into business he would usually talk about business.
This is how easy it is to make a blog:
To sum up the video on blogs it is very easy to set it up, all the user has to do is log on to www.blogger.com From there all you have to do is sign up and write all the details required. Then blogger will show their backgrounds for the blog that the user can choose from , but it can be changed in due course. After that the dashboard will come up and the user is free to start blogging about anything that they want.
How Blogs Are Different To Normal Sites
Blogs are quite different compared to normal sites for numerous reasons. firstly it is a lot easier to set up a blog than a website; for making a blog you can simply go onto www.blogger.com, as for websites you will need to learn about a programme called Dreamweaver or any other software that is quite time consuming to make, moreover you also somehow have to learn how to get online presence once the site is finished. in addition to that last post it is easier for search engines to find Blogs because they are constantly being updated by their blogs, so in terms of sites, if the author is not constantly updating the site then the author could loose their customers. updating a blog is as simple as posting writing an email, it is fast and will always have the latest feeds, unlike a site where the page could need a new design and the content changed.
Why people use Blogs
People use blogs for various reasons, such as to convey what they specialise in, or to just show interest in a certain subject. viewers could go onto blogs to find sources of information, or simply because they enjoy the posts that the author blogs. another reason would be that blogs could almost act like a public diary, the authors have freedom to write what they wish and can express themselves in any manner that they wish. blogs can also be used for advertising purposes, since blogs can be updated as often as possible, if there is anything new in the market that the author wants to publish, it will not take long for him to post a blog about it, as well as not taking long for the viewers to access it.

Advantages and Disadvantages
There are a number advantages and disadvantages in Blogging. Here are the advantages:
Firstly it is very simple to start making a Blog, because it takes very few steps (video from top of page), and it does not cost money to make one.
The second reason would be that it is very easy to find the audience via a Blog because, blogs come up faster than sites, which means that more viewers will have access to the blogs than normal sites would.
As well as being able to blog about any subject, blogging also creates an interaction between the viewer and the author, via the comments that can be made on the page, the more feedback that is made, the author will know how to improve the blog, as well as learn more about what the viewers want.
However there are some disadvantages:
One of the first disadvantages would be that some people cannot blog consistently like some other can, for reasons such as their current job is taking up most of their time. if this continues it will eventually make the blog very boring and can loose many users.
Secondly some people do not make the blogs very interesting, so for those who do have time, they do not make the blog to the best of its ability. or in some cases the blog might not be written in a way that some viewers can understand it.
There are many bloggers that constantly blog, it would be a great disadvantage if someone has the same topic or subject as another author, this would mean that there is constant competition, the result being that one will have more viewers than the other depending on how recent and interesting their blogs are.

How Are Comments Useful On A Blog
Comments are very useful in blogs because the author can know if the stories are interesting or not, and the viewers can also assess on what is good and what is bad about the blog stories. Therefore it makes it easier for the author to make some changes on the blogs based on the comments which have been said by the viewers. Although there is always room for improvement the author can also find out what is good about the stories so that they can find either make the posts more intersting, or just carry on they way they are. If the blog was a story it could create a good interaction between users, because they can create good arguments about the topic, or if it is about their own business they can have a lot of feedback and ideas on how to move forward.
